Western Wither Strap – Doubled & Stitched Bridle Leather
When a breast collar rides too low, it binds the shoulders and pulls the saddle out of position — and tightening the straps rarely solves it. This wither strap lays over the withers and holds the breast collar at the correct height, keeping the shoulders free and the collar set across the chest through a full day's work. Doubled and stitched from the same Grade A bridle leather and offered in the same buckstitched colors as our breast collars, it completes the set with hardware and finish that match.

Will this match my breast collar?
Yes — that's the whole point. It's doubled and stitched from the same Grade A bridle leather, built in the same shop, in the same buckstitch colors we offer on our breast collars.
What size horse will this fit?
The strap adjusts from 18″ to 24″, which covers most horses. Three holes on each side let you dial it in so the breast collar sits correctly across the chest.
Are the Jeremiah Watt buckles worth it?
Jeremiah Watt hardware is some of the most respected in the Western world — clean castings, no rough spots, and they hold up under real work. They're the same caliber of buckle you'd want on a headstall, not an afterthought on a wither strap.
Will the leather break in?
