Cattle aren't built the way they were thirty years ago, and smaller hides mean one-piece reins can only run so long — about 8 feet at the most. For a tall horse or a long trail ride, that isn't always enough. These rein extensions add up to 2 feet of length to each side — 4 feet total across the pair — so you can keep the one-piece reins you already trust and get the reach you need.

FAQs
How do these attach to my reins?
Take the buckles off your current one-piece reins, and the buckle on each extension hooks right onto the rein leather in their place. The stainless scissor snap on the other end clips to your bit. They work with both our one-piece reins and our one-piece laced reins. No tools, no modifications to your reins.
How much length do they add?
Each extension adds up to 2 feet, and you run one on each side — so a pair gives you up to 4 feet of added reach total. Each extension comes with a stainless steel conway buckle that uses the two adjustment holes, so you can dial in the exact length for your horse.
Will these match my reins?
Yes. They're cut from the same dark oil latigo we use on our reins, so they match a plain one-piece set exactly. They match our laced reins too — those run plain latigo down toward the bit end where the extension connects, so the extension picks up right where the lacing ends and reads as one continuous rein.
Will the latigo hold up on the trail?

We do our very best to get all orders shipped within 2–3 business days of being placed.
Because our products are handcrafted and we’re a small operation, there may occasionally be times when processing takes up to 4–5 business days. If that happens, please know we’re still working hard to get your order out as quickly as possible.
Expedited Shipping
We do offer an expedited processing and shipping option to ensure your order gets out as soon as possible and ships via USPS Priority Mail.

Returns & Exchanges
We are happy to exchange new, unworn belts for a different size.
Belts must be unused and in original condition. You will be responsible for shipping costs for the replacement belt.
