The hardest part of dressing up a thick belt isn't the buckle — it's finding a keeper that fits. Most metal keepers are cut for thin department-store belts; slide a doubled-and-stitched belt through one and it binds. This keeper is cut deep on purpose. It clears our thickest belts with room to spare, and it looks the part doing it.

What does a keeper do? It holds the tail of your belt flat against the body after you buckle up — no loose tip flapping past the buckle. On a dress setup it's the finishing detail; on a working belt it keeps the tail out of your way.
Will it fit a thick belt? Yes — that's exactly why we picked this one. It's cut deep enough to clear our doubled-and-stitched belts, which most metal keepers can't manage.
How does it stay in place? It slides onto the belt and locks down with a small set screw, so it stays where you set it instead of wandering.
